The project made it possible to create a unique domestic site for the production and industrial processing of glass, based on its own scientific and research achievements to meet the needs of the defense, construction, automotive, furniture industries. In addition to increasing production capacity (from 150 to 350 tons of glass / day), the plant expanded the range of products and the scope of their use and application in various climatic zones. An updated multifunctional float line was put into operation. In addition to the produced glasses (transparent float glass, heat-saving transparent and colored glass, film and tempered glass), special glass for the aviation industry will be produced, which has increased strength and high light transmission, which is not yet produced in Russia. Aviation glass production will help reduce the industry's dependence on imports.
